Cats on KarpathosLike on many Greek islands there are many cats on Karpathos. They seem to breed out of control. Most are small, skinny and hungry. They beg at restaurants or search garbage containers. Some will definitely not survive the winter. Fortunately a few cats seem to have a good home. Roberta Beach Jacobson has informed me that there's a volunteer organization doing a lot of good work for animal welfare in Karpathos.
